Hand Painted Faux-Venetian Mask - Bandit!

I had always wanted my own Venetian mask.  Searching online, I discovered they were around serveral hundred dollars.  Not so much on the Sideshow Budget.  So in typical DYI fashion, I decided to make my own.

This was the first one I made.

Hand painted Faux-Venetian style mask.  The surface has a lovely crackle effect.  I liked the idea of a mask painted on a mask.

Hand Painted Faux-Venetian Mask

In an attempt to recreate my own Venetian mask, I painted this.  It’s shaped plastic, not paper mache’.  I wore it once for a show.  As cool as it is, I am going to let this one go, as I painted another, BETTER one (that’s ~not~ for sale!)  ;-)

More pictures are available.
